I know this is old, but I wanted to add my two cents to it.

I looked at engagement rings and I saw one that had an unenhanced moissanite as the center stone with a halo of diamonds and diamonds on the band.  The moissanite looked yellowish compared to the diamonds, but then I tried on a ring that was all moissanite (same style), and it all “flows” the same and it doesn’t look yellowish at all because they’re all the same color. I love that ring and I really hope that’s the one my future Fiance gets me ^.^

SakuraBlossomBee:    Wanting a visible inclusion?  To make the stone unique?  Congratulations on your approach.  I wish I’d thought of it.  You’re not crazy but very sane.

Absolutely not mocking or sarcastic!

I may raise points of view that people don’t agree with but I never make snarky comments against individuals.

Actually I think that SakuraBlossomBee has a lot of sense.  One flawless diamond is much like another (at least up to 10x magnification) but diamonds with flaws are very individualistic, a bit like people I suppose.

If I organised the diamond trade I would do things very differently.  I would:

Sell diamond with pretty flaws, maybe delicate feathers up the side of the stone;

Sell colours D to Z  rather than just D to K;

Cut for beauty and not for weight;

Have a greater variety of designs and designers;

Encourage people to think of finger coverage of just under to just over a third as ideal;

Experiment with different cuts;

Encourage people to think of diamonds as fun rather than status symbols.

Already I will probably have offended half of the people on Weddingbee by saying all this but pleased be assured I do my best never to make comments about individuals or make personal attacks.

Does anyone’s moissanite look blue tinged in dark/dull lighting? I’ve read lots of comments about moissanite having a yellow/warm undertone but mine seems to have the opposite! Just wondering if this is common

I have moissanite earrings. And I can tell the difference between my diamond ones and my moissanite ones. The diamond ones do sparkle more. I do find the moissanite ones looking a little dull at times.
