- Wedding: August 2015 - country club in Michigan
My Fiance and I are 12 years apart, and we’re having the wedding we want. Yes, we have by far the biggest age gap for all our friends, but it makes for some fun jokes (e.g. he was in college when I was in 1st grade). If you dont make it a big deal or bring it up, others wont focus on it. It’s your day, and as long as your happy, and those closest to you are happy, it’s going to be perfect 🙂

missjz: What a coincidence! I definitely think I learned so much from my ex, I guess you could say for me, he was my learning tool for what I want and need in a relationship. Congratulations on getting married soon!

My Fiance and I have quite a large age difference as well. We are considering having a small, elopement-type wedding (with just his kids and us, mostly for financial reasons) first and having a larger reception later with friends, more family, etc…My mother does not approve of our relationship, and has said she has no desire to attend our wedding. I guess I’m hoping she’ll change her mind someday. We’ve been together for almost 3 years, engaged for just a bit over 2. We’re very much in love and can’t wait to be married 🙂 good luck with everything!

- Wedding: April 2016 - The Centurian Palace
My SO and I are 12 years apart. I worried about what my family would think at first, but all that matters to them is that he treats me with respect, and makes me happy. Please go ahead and have the wedding you two dream of. You will never get your wedding day back, and I would definitely hate to see anyone forego their perfect day because they are worried about what people (family or not) might think. This is just my opinion. Congratulations and good luck to you and your Fiancé. Please share with us what you two decide to do:)
