Since you all seem to have such great advice, I have a question regarding shoes…so, for our wedding, my Fiance wants to wear Converse, along with all the Groomsmen, which I’m TOTALLY fine with…but I am NOT heels OR flats girl…I basically live my life in flip-flops, unless I’m at work (since they’re not allowed) and that’s what I feel comfortable in…the last thing I want is to trip and fall down the aisle, which I will SURELY do in heels, and I also don’t wanna be SUPER uncomfortable, which flats always seem to be for me (they dig into the backs of my heels)
Do you think that wearing a nice pair of bridal flip flops would be fine? It would make sense for me since it’s who I am, but I don’t want to look tacky or anything…my wedding is a Spring wedding, most likely taking place at a golf course, and I’m considering making cute, fancy flip flops for all my BMs too…below are some pictures…the first is of the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses that I’m pretty sure they’ll be wearing and the other ones are of the types of flip-flops I’m thinking of…
I’d love to hear what y’all think of it…and no, I haven’t picked out my dress, but I’ll put up a pic of the style that I’m most drawn to…
Thinking of this style…
considering something like this for me…
Something like this for the BMs, except in their colors…
Is it too much or tacky with the Converse? I should also mention that my wedding is black and white with rainbow accents…it’s definitely more of a “fun” theme than anything, since that’s what my and FI’s relationship is…

It is up to you, of course, but I think a sandle would be nice. I have these and love them:
They come in a multicolor too, which could match your wedding colors! Though I do think they look a bit cheaper in person than the white stones.

I don’t care for rubber flip flops, but I think slightly fancier ones will be nice 🙂
I’m not wearing heels either, but I do want some kind of jeweled “flip flops” (I call them flats:)) similar to the ones PP mentioned. I want them to have a gold accent though. I’m soo not a heels kinda girl.

The fancier ones are nice 🙂
I’m not really a fan of the rubber bottoms.

I wouldn’t put the Bridesmaid or Best Man in rubber flip flops with short dresses to be honest. If they were long dresses and not the center of attention, sure.
I voted go for a nicer sandal, I just don’t think rubber flips flops are elegant enough for the dresses you are considering. But I see nothing wrong with having a pair of those as a back up to change into once the formal pics and ceremony are done!

I say a big fat no. Flip flops make noise when you walk in them- if they are rubber the squish sound and also the flopping sound. Comfortable flats do exist.

I think the bridesmaids would look better in heels with the short dresses. Have you thought about wearing Toms with your dress? Like these. They’re really comfy and wouldn’t make noise when you walk.

converse go well with short dresses as well if you are going for a fun look for them

I plan on wearing flip flops under my dress also..I figure no one will be able to see them so who cares. I would choose a slightly fancier type of flip flop though not a rubber type one

I’m going to wear glittery converse. It’s your wedding and who’s goign to look at your shoes under a long dress. hehe. 😀
