    I think it’s fine to contact her. He brought her into your life for 10 years, it’s not fair that he dictate whether you, as an adult, can communicate with her now.

    I also think its fine to contact her, she would probably be thrilled to hear from you.   My daughter kept in touch with my ex’s ex-girlfriend for years after they split up.

    When you are an Adult you can do as you please.

    That said, I’d be considerate of your Fathers feelings, and be the one to tell him that you did reach out to her (he doesn’t need to hear it from someone else)

    If like you said its been 10 or so years, and your Dad is in another relationship… I’m sure he’ll survive just fine (but polite to let him know)

    I wouldn’t worry too much therefore about “old wounds” or wrecking havoc with his current relationship (or her’s if she has one) as a lot of time has passed since they had a thing for each other.
