I just bought my co-workers old iPhone for $80.  $150 sounds high….make sure its al least 16G too.  Also, $650 is way too much to pay for an iPhone in my opinion.  I would wait until you have an upgrade or buy someone else’s for no more than $100 for the older model.

I just got an iPhone 3GS (older model) 3 weeks ago. I love it so far. (Course, I’m comparing it to the 4 yr old Razor I had! Mine was only $100 with a 2 yr contract, but I saw that you said Canadian prices are higher. If you think the prices are good, I would go for it. 🙂

I love my iphone but I don’t know that I would have paid that much for it! lol. I will say though… I have used the 3g and 3gs, and I have the iphone4… and the 4 kicks so much ass. It is just way. way. WAY. faster.

@OttawaBride2011:I do actually love my iPhone, I would never go back to anything else.  Ah, sorry didn’t realize you were in CN, I would go for it then!

Fiance and I have been die hard iPhone users since the day the first gen was released. We have tried other phones (pre, android, blackberry) but nothing comes close to comparing to the iPhone for us. Maybe I’m a little biased since Fiance owns a mac and iPhone development firm but I think iPhone is the way to go.

Heres proof of our obsession. I had an iPhone cake made for FI’s surprise bday party a few years ago:

EDIT: Dont mind the crappy first gen iPhone pic. The camera has gotten CONSIDERABLY better!

THat’s a lot for an iPhone. I was reading an article about why you can sell a used iPhone for more than it cost to buy the original – it’s because the used phone doesn’t have to be with ATT! You can have any company service your phone. Take advantage – ATT sucks.

Fiance has the 3G, and I have the 3GS – after the wedding he is upgrading to the iPhone4.  I am sticking with my 3GS.  I have had no problems with mine at all, but his is starting to wear down a little.  In the interest of full disclosure, he drops it pretty frequently.

We love our iPhones, and wouldn’t go back!

I love my…droid (gasp)!

To me, $650 is worth the expense just to not have to deal with ATT. And my Darling Husband LOVES his iPhone.

But you know, the holidays are coming up…

I’ve never understood why people don’t like AT&T. We’ve have had every other cell provider at some point and AT&T is by far the best for us. We seldom lose reception and their customer service is always decent.

As far as I know, you can get an unlocked iPhone and use it on other networks.
