After a week and a half of waiting for the woman who is in charge of putting together the contract for our ceremony room and reception room (same place, different rooms), we finally got it e-mailed to us last night.
And the times are SO wrong.
On the description and written rules for the venues, as well as what was discussed at our consultation meeting, we get both rooms for 11 hours. She just wanted to know the ceremony start time and reception start time. For ceremony we’re planning to start at 2:00 p.m. and the “start” time for the reception is 4:00 p.m. (the thought is to give us plenty of time for pictures – like an hour and a half), but the guests are able to go there directly after the ceremony. We told her we planned on the reception lasting at least until 9:00 p.m., maybe 10:00 p.m., with an hour of breakdown (the average for the spaces). So, we’d have both rooms from 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
We get our contract, and it says we have both rooms from 2:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and she put down that our reception will start at 2:30 p.m.
We’ve contacted her via e-mail to let her know of how wrong this is and our confusion over what has changed. This is a major mistake and change and I’m freaking out!
