Honestly, I would have told the kids to get off my dress.  Who cares if the parents get pissed off?  If the kids rip your dress, are they are going to pay to fix it?  I doubt it.

Oh, geez. This made my blood boil. I teach and I am pregnant, so obviously I don’t dislike all kids,LOL, but seriously, I would have lost it on them. On the management too because I would have wanted to tell them to give me my money back on the dress if that’s possible and I would have went to another store.

I take things to the extreme, my sister says.lol

Why didn’t YOU say something to the kids instead of watching them trample your dress? This is one of those situations where it’s ok not to be a polite people-pleasing girl. In fact, it’s one of those situations that calls for you sticking up for yourself when nobody else is.

@disneybride11: I hope you are alright after being in the ER.  I would complain to the owner of the salon now that you are calmer though.

@disneybride11: I think you should call, to be honest… I think if anything, it will make you feel better. I would explain to them that you were already in a fragile state because you had been in the hospital, and then that happened and no one stood up for you as the customer.

@brideatbeach: She says it in a great way.  I don’t think the shop manager will fault you for not saying anything and will let the girls on the floor know that they need to not allow children if they are uncontrollable.

Wow, a bridal shop is a completely inappropriate place to bring 15 children. Hell, its an inappropriate place to bring 15 adults… its not a restaurant or a park, its a place that houses a lot of expensive things that have already been purchased by others and would take a long time to replace.

You should have went off on them.  You paid for that dress.  They don’t have to right to let their kids destroy it.  I hate parents who are afraid to lay some whoop ass on their out of control kids.  Ugg, leave your kids at home if you can’t control them.  Hopefully your next fitting will be more peaceful and a better expeirence.

@disneybride11:

There are still good and kind hearted humans out there you are one of them.

The good thing from all this is that when you are telling others of your big day one year from now or 60 years down the road you will remember this incident and laugh about it.  I know my sister did when her officiant did not show until 11pm that night instead of 4pm as schedule kids running around bridal party hair all messed up by 11pm 6 years later we laugh and remember it.   The other parts not so much.

You need more kind people like you out there, your husband is very fortunate.

Reminds me of today. I went with my Mom to look for her wedding dress and there were 2 little kids running around. Where was the mom?I honestly didnt know until she came out of the dressing room 5 mins later. My mom came out in the first dress and went tothe front to look at the mirror and out of the corner of my eye I see the kids go into my moms dressing room.And the mom said while i was there to her consultant”Im only 20 weeks pregnant”….If she can’t control those two why does she need another?More reasons I don’t want kids.
