i think your bridesmaids should be in a bit more formal fabric than just the jersey fabric of the convertibles.  do they make them in other fabrics?  a dressier one??

I think Jersey would be too informal. I have also seen those dresses look bad on some ladied who were more “full figured”. It would be wise to have them all try them on first. There is not a lot of support in them and they can highlight flaws…

@sweetpeony:  I second this. The dresses are not the most flattering on everyone, and they offer no support for large chested ladies. Maybe you could find some they could try on to make sure they would look good?

I second the stretch satin convertible dress. I honestly didn’t know that they didn’t all come in satin.

You really have to be careful when choosing who you buy your dresses from. I was a bridesmaid last month and we got ours from Henkaa, the quality is great and they have a subtle sheen that makes them look really classy! Henkaa also offers a C/D size for women size 14 and up, so they can be flattering on everybody! They’re made with lots of fabric so they don’t cling.

@PinkGoddess:  Oooh, I’ve always wondered about their quality. I second the idea that they should be shiny instead of jersey :).

My convertibles were some kind of awesome stretch jersey-ish material but it was a little shimmery and more formal than jersey if that makes any sense.  I thought they looked awesome on all 4 of my maids and they all really loved being able to customize.
