I would enjoy receiving one with special family recipes, but only because I love to cook. I know a lot of people would love to receive one; however, for a wedding you might want to think about doing half cookbooks and half something else because of the couple factor.

It would depend on the cookbook.  If it were family recipes or some how nastalgic I prob would.

Im doing a cookbook too! My sister is great with graphic design so she made my cover and its perfect. Im having a dessert bar so Im putting the recipes to the desserts at the bar in my cookbook. my cover says “First comes love. then comes dessert” Ive told my bridal party about it and they LOVEE that idea. And im getting recipes from my family but not all of them will be family recipes. I plan to put 5 – 7 recipes in there.

I think it’s a great idea!  I was a bridesmaid about 10 years ago, and for the Bridal Shower we had to send in cards with recipes, and recived a cookbook as the bridal shower favor.  I STILL use it!!
