What a cute idea! I love it. It makes the wedding a bit more personal. Though, I do think that a candy bar would go great along the cookies. But, DIYing a cookie bar and candy bar would drive any bride crazy.

P.S – I think I’m stealing this idea!

This is as great idea!!! I have been to Italian bridal showers that had the cookie bar and it’s so nice to be able to take home the cookies too!!

I’m doing a cookie bar at my wedding, and in order to get recipes I included a request on my RSVP cards for guests to submit their favorite cookie recipe ๐Ÿ™‚ I have created a form on our wedding website where guests can submit it. I thought it would be a fun idea, and plus it makes it easier on me to have people send me good recipes, rather than spend hours searching for ones that sound good. On the jars at the reception I’ll indicate who sent the recipe, so for example: Chocolate Chip Cookies courtesy of Jane Smith. Also, the cookies will serve as wedding favors. All guests will get a box (I found fuscia glitter chinese take-out boxes at Michaels!!!) that will have a little card that invites them to fill up their box with cookies ๐Ÿ™‚ Because I’ve been trying to figure out an unobtrusive way to include my dogs (lol) the cards will say, “Zim, Toby, and Ozzy invite you to fetch some delicious cookies before you leave!” (or something along those lines).
