Oh I did some googling and found some info on a forum! I too am in the LA/OC area!

Call Driftwood Dairy. They supply schools districts all over the place. I also notice their small cartons, in two sizes, for sale in donut shops in SGV and the Valley. Maybe they can help you with an idea. I go to their drive-thru dairy in El Monte and get their milk all the time.

Driftwood Dairy (Great milk, bacon, eggs and snacks including Hostess Smo Balls)10724 Lower Azusa RdEl Monte, CA 91731-1390(626) 444-9591Cross St, El Monte Ave. At the North end of the El Monte Airport. About two blocks West of Santa Anita Ave. Eight blocks East of Baldwin just past the old In-n-Out about a block away

I also read that Costco, SmartNFinal and possibly sams clubs will have these available now!
OH! And I was once really into Horizon Organic Milk and almost bough a case on Amazon! Check there out too! A little more expensive, but I love the milk! 18 Milk Boxes in a Case!

Oh and I think you can buy Horizon Organic milk in the little cartons at Costco.

I would skip talking to the grocery store manager; I used to be one and wouldn’t have been able to help you out if it wasn’t a product in our system.

Talk to the local school district; they can give you the contact info for their supplier.

I see single serving bottles/jugs of milk in my grocery store all the time.  I would think you could pre order enough with your grocer.  I also think it would be easier to keep jugs cold and they would be easier for your guests to open than the milk cartons.

@2ndtime: If she wants the bottles, she should be good to order a ton from the grocery store. I was only talking about the mini-cartons.

such a cute idea!  i thought about it for my wedding for a second, then I remembered, 75% of Asians are lactose intolerant and even if I provided lactaid, the Chinese fam probably won’t be drinking the milk lol.

I had milk and cookies served at my wedding! I called the company that supplies the milk to our local school districts. They charged me $0.17 a carton! It was so cheap and really cute. We had ours placed on trays.

We’re doing an apple cider donut and mini milk carton late night snack and our milk is coming from a local dairy. My Future Sister-In-Law works for one so we were able to score the milk for free but if you call a dairy you should be able to arrange something.

A cookie bar with the little boxes of milk has been my favor idea since I first started wedding planning so I’m soooo glad I found this thread! I’ll definitely be talking to the school district/the local dairy, awesome info, thank you!

For those of you who have done or are planning a cookie bar, how many different types of cookies did you offer/are you planning on offering?
