I know this is a regional thing, but for brides who had/are having a cookie table, what did you have on it? My mom wants to start a list so we can have a variety and family members who volunteered wouldn’t be making the same cookies.
So far, I asked my mom to make Seven Layer Cookie Bars (not really a cookie, but my favorite), Peanut Butter Cookies, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cookies. Also, I was thinking of asking her to make a batch of her rum-soaked chocolate covered cherries. 🙂 Future Mother-In-Law is making Chocolate and Butterscotch No-Bake Cookies and Buckeyes. (I know none of these are very wedding-y).

Don’t forget choclate chip and sugar cookies- some people may prefer simpler cookies! Also, what about snickerdoodles, mint chocolate chip, those cute little ones that have a hershey kiss pressed on top, and maybe something with a fruit center?

Do brownies count? You could do blonde brownies and regular chocolate brownies for colour contrast? Macaroons are easy and look nice as well!

Cookie tables aren’t common where I’m from, so sorry if my suggestions aren’t ‘right’, but how about things like mars bar slice?
As far as ‘wedding-y’, something like white chocolate cranberry cookies? You could ice them with drizzles of white chocolate, either plain or tinted to match your theme colours?

My Future Mother-In-Law is making all the cookies for our cookie bar. I think we tried to have a good balance of the key flavor categories (chocolate, nut, fruit, etc) and infuse some classics along with some more unique ones. So far, she’s definitely making her classic Chocolate Chip, Buckeyes (FI is from Ohio!), Mexican wedding cookies (melts in your mouth), Black & Whites (for NY since we both live in NYC now), and Linzer Raspberry cookies.
There’s a really good book called Crazy about Cookies out there – if you go to your local bookstore maybe jot down some notes too?
