katie08:  cucumberroll:  A rice cooker! Brilliant!! Thanks for making me feel better about my rice issues.

ktsteimel:  I can mess that kind of rice up too! I’ve overcooked it.

I can help with rice! Typically its always 2 c of water to 1 cup of rice but fallow the directions on your package. Add to the water a small amount of butter(<tsp) and I’m not sure why but a squirt of lemon juice(its okay if you skip this). Bring the water to a rolling boil then add your rice and stir once with a fork, lower the tempature to the lowest setting you can and wait one minuet before placing the lid on the pan. Set the timer for 20 min and your golden. Stir again with a fork and serve.

Attempted to make Pan de Polvo no idea what went wrong. I checked several recipes and  my measurements. They should look like this when they are done…  mine came out of the oven like this:

absolute fail. I think it may have been bad baking powder. They just melted into nothing.

I tried cooking silverside once and even though it tasted ok it looked like a scene from ‘Hannibal’ – never cooking that again!
