- Wedding: July 2010 - The Tower Club
I think I’m suffering from "too many options." We originally wanted one of those Martha Stewart style outdoor weddings (complete with wildflower bouquets and lights in the trees), but since we’re marrying in Texas in July I have ruled that out. I can’t stand the heat!
So, we are trying to decide between a ballroom looking place or a cool loft-type place. The vibe of our venue influences everything else, and I could go either way.
My FH likes to describe us as "eclectic with some traditional values." We’re interracial with a big age difference. I’m a musician & he’s an artist. We like to travel & we love to study culture. Our DJ was chosen for his affinity for international music. So the non-traditional loft seems to match us. Plus we love that we can choose our own caterer & buy our own drinks.
I imagine that the loft means brighter colors, a more "modern" feel and something truly different & creative. On the other hand, I still have light pink "traditional" floral arrangements and lace dresses dancing in my head. I love them both.
My FH loves the industrial loft we saw yesterday and says it "suits him," but wants me to be happy (he’s very sweet!) and says I get to decide.
How do I decide between these very different styles?
(feel free to explain your choice! 🙂
