Hi Bees! Men’s attire question for you: How did you/will you get your groomsmen to coordinate if they’re not wearing black? We want to do gray suits for our fall wedding (the girls will be wearing shades of apricot and watermelon), and my Fiance is worried that the guys will end up looking random/mismatched if he simply instructs them to “get a gray suit.” (We will probably have them wear matching shirts and ties, but right now I’m just thinking about the suit itself.) So I’m wondering — should we ask them to rent a specific suit from a common retailer/suit rental place? Should we just tell them “light gray” or “dark gray”? How did you get your guys coordinated? Thanks!!

@licoricetea3: I have been wondering the same thing for months now, and just figured it out! We’re taking advantage of the Men’s Wearhouse BOGO sale that’s going on right now – you buy one suit, the second is free and the ones after that are all 60% off. We picked a suit and did the math – a $349 suit is working out to be about $160 for each guy – and are placing one order for all of them so we can get the deal. They’ll just pay us back when the suits come in.
I did a lot of searching for suit rentals, as opposed to tuxedo rentals, and only found one place that rented actual suits: Jim’s Formalwear. Could be that I just didn’t look hard enough! But it seemed like the BOGO sale was the best way to go. $160 isn’t much more than the average tux rental, and the guys get to keep the suit instead of having to return it.

@KatieBklyn: Wow, awesome — that’s a great idea! Now I just need to get all the guys’ sizes before the sale ends. 🙂 Thanks for the help!
