- Wedding: April 2013
Okay ladies, I spoke with a well known local wedding coordinator the other day. She came very highly recommended and was pleasant, seemed to have some nice ideas. I told her that fiance and I have a pretty strong vision forevent day and that we would probably only need help with day of coordination. She told me a lot about how she has people in the creative field to help wiinvitation design and decor, flower arrangements, room layout, all that jazz. I told her that we were already working on our invitation design and that we love the space the way it is, we won’t need a lot of decor or layout changes. Day of coordination only! She said she would email meas list of rough prices and whose those prices include, I waited patiently. Four days later I get an email and the rough price is between $1250 and $1850 it includes basic things, like making sure everything arrives on time and lining us up before the ceremony, plus a few extras like going over contracts and taking car of vendor payments and day of tips if I wanted. Maybe I’m being cheap, but that just doesn’t seem like $1850 worth of work, or even $1200. I was really expecting somewhere in the realm of $500-$600 for one days worth of work.
How many are you are havingcull on coordinators or day of coordinators? Is that a good general price range? For those of you bees that have already had your day, did you have a coordinator? Was it worth it? Did anyone skip the coordinator and wish later that they hadnt?
