Can you post one with a pic in it so we get the “full effect” I love the concept but want to see it in ACTION! :o) Very creative!

I like the idea but I would be nervous that people wouldn’t realize that the holder was also a favor to take home.  I would hate for you to spend all of this time and effort collecting the corks and then have your guests end up leaving them on the table.  I do like your idea of doubling the place card holder as a favor.

I have a HUGE bag full of corks and was wanting to do something neat with them.. I thought abt leveling off one side with my dremel, and putting a spot in the side that runs along the cork, to slide a pic in.. Maybe that’s helpful, maybe not? ;P

(by a huge bag, I mean probably close to 800 wine corks, ridiculous- I know..)

A friend of mine placed her place cards in each one.  She cut the bottom so it would be flat and wouldn’t roll, and then cut a slit on the top where the card could be held.  Looked really nice, and we had fun helping her collect the corks.  Enjoy!

Also, I would ask friends/family to collect these for you.  This really helped her out.

Why not make a “cork board”? I’ve made several of these over the years, they’re super easy. Just take a thin strip of wood and hot glue the corks to it in a pattern. The ones I’ve made are all long strips, but you could make a rectangular one instead. You could use it to attach photos to, or maybe escort cards, or make it into a guest book of sorts where guests could write notes on little cards and attach them with tacks!

Here’s a picture of one on my wall right now. (Excuse to poor quality, I’m too lazy to find my camera so this was taken on my webcam.)

If you don’t have a lot of corks, you could always hot glue a ribbon around the circumference of the cork and tie the place card to it to use it as an escort card

Maybe a bit too simplistic???  What do you think of these wine favors?

I think it comes with the place card or you could put in your own picture.
