We are getting married in a church, followed by a tented reception (cocktails and dinner) in a field by the ocean, with dessert and dancing at a hall directly across the street from the tent site. I think we are going to have a reception card, but what is the correct wording for these two reception venues?

If the 2nd venue is right across the steet, I don’t think that you really have to mention it. People will already be at the first site and can just walk across the street.
I think mentioning it in the invite is gonna get you a lot of confused phone calls from guests (because they never seem to be able to comprehend the info that comes with the invite).
Just put the start time and start location.

I agree – if you give your guests the address that you want them to get to immediately after the wedding, that should be sufficient. It is nice to indicate that the reception will be dinner and dancing, just so they know what to expect. You can make an announcement about the second venue near the end of dinner, or include that information in a program-type handout.
