So my mother is completely against a corsage. ANY corsage. I actually had the funniest conversation with her about this. I didn’t realize how strongly she felt against wearing a corsage or having any type of flowers to carry, but she believes the whole idea is stupid. So now I am trying to think of another idea. She doesn’t want a wrist corsage, pinned corsage, nosegay, or even just a single stem. NO FLOWERS. Anyone have any other ideas?

What about special jewelry like a bracelet or brooch/pin?

@hansey12: Did she say why? Is it flowers she doesn’t like? Or does she not like the idea of wearing something to stand out, or show that she carries an important role at your wedding? (Which is really the whole reason to wear a corsage in the first place)
What about a “fake” corsage? Something that looks more like a bracelet. Maybe like this?

What kind of wedding are you having?
Could she drop rose petals/something else for you? Flower in her hair? What about a small brooch bouquet? The ones that are so popular now? Or a brooch pomander (Kissing ball)?

@hansey12: we did mini bouquets for our Moms

@ChelseaBells: That is a great idea.
She is just very against the flowers, which is odd because she wants tons of flowers elsewhere. I had thought of the brooch thing, but it is going to be a balancing act since Future Mother-In-Law is very traditional in her approach to the wedding.

I’m doing felt flowers for all female family members not in the wedding party. White for the Moms and yellow for the rest.
