I will have my DOC there and my girls have all bustled before, so it should go pretty smoothly. My DOC/Planner and I are picking my gown up tomorrow, so the seamstress with show her again how to do the bustle, just to make sure. My girls are out of state or I would take one or both of them.

I’m having my mom do it because she’s super OCD about it Smile

@dynamic_duo: just let them watch the video.  my girls just practiced bc I was being stupid and they wanted an excuse to see the dress.  They totally knew what they were doing after watching.

I am worried about this too, I won’t have BMs and I just know someone else won’t care about it the same way I will.  My latest thought is to take off the dress and do it myself. Crazy right? I just don’t know that it will happen any other way. I’m not sure how realistic that is and maybe that day I won’t care as much.

@blondilocks: Thanks for posting that video! I am worried about this in the back of my mind, too. But now there’s plenty of time for my gals to watch the video and study. hehe 🙂

My mom did both for me, with help from 2 of my SIL’s (and before the reception with help from my hubby!).  The corset back she had no issue with at all since I’ve always had a bit of a thing for Renaissance Fair dresses with corsets, and while she worried about the bustle (mine was a 6 point bustle), she found that with the labeling, it was really easy.  I would definitely have someone with you at your fittings so that they can see how it is done and practice, but as long as one person knows how, she can direct the others.  🙂

@dynamic_duo:having a color code is the best way to go! you just tie together the matching color ribbons. no worries!

@dynamic_duo:Tying a corset is ridiculously easy compared to how complicated it seems like it should be, just budget some extra time. I bet your mom or aunt or older woman will be able to save the day if your bridesmaids can’t figure it out.
