Hey bee’s – quick question. I tried on two dresses that I really liked, I preferred the second which I bought but liked the back of the first more…the one I picked has a corset back but the the first one had buttons and thought it looked amazing. Has anyone else changed the back of their dress? I’m not even sure it’s possible but thought id check… Thanks

@miss2mrs131012: You can change the back of your dress, but most people go the other way…from a zip or button to a corset.
If you are buying a dress and want to go the opposite (corset to buttons), my guess is that you would need to buy up at least 2 whole sizes. The reason is because they are going to need that V in the back to be able to close and overlap…on most corset dresses, you should have a small open V.
If I saw the dress or knew the maker I could probably tell you more, but depending on how structured the dress is, you could end up in a situation where if you size up, the structure of the dress is improperly placed. Unless they offer the dress with both corset and zip options (as some bridal shops do), you would not be able to change it.
Your best bet would really be going from zip to buttons.

Thanks for your advice – I did see that a lot of people had gone the other way. I’ve already ordered my dress so I think I should have had that discussion before ordering! My dress is
Sorry I tried to send that as a link but not entirely sure how to do that!
