corset all the way for me~

my dress original came in zipper, and I had the worse nightmare that the dress come in small and I can’t zip, and for sure I had lose weight between ordering and first try on.  I cried over it but a seamtress helped me to convert it to corset.. and it fit nicely, without any worry rather I lose or gain in the last month.

I love the look of a corset anyways.

if you fall in love in style but doesn’t have the zipper/corset you want, you can ask to see if they can order it in the zipper/corset you want, I heard you can do that.

Ok Need help! This is my dress, I bought it a year ago its a size 6 and had fit perfectly, but do to family issues my fiance and I have had to delay the wedding, well im two weeks out from my first fitting and i tried the dress at home and its WAY tight in my hips! ive gained about 10 lbs and am doing everything to try to shed the weight but nothing is working. My wedding is May 6 and im terrified it wont fit! When I say tight i mean, almost not able to pull it over my hips without the fear of it ripping, zero movement and definitely not capable of sitting. Any suggestions? Ive debated a corset on bottom but would that look odd with the buttons?

Corset back you can eat a really big burrito and still be good. Not so much in a zipper.

Eat the burrito.

Corsets are definitely more forgiving as they can be tied tighter or looser.  I love the look of zippers, but will say it added worry about fitting.  My dress was too small, and without even trying too hard I lost too much weight, and the dress was too big.  I found this out the week before the wedding.  Ended up having to have it adjusted, pick it up the day before the wedding without even trying it on, and just hope it fits.  It was also very form fitting, don’t think I would have had these issues with a ballgown or full aline quite as much (as I always gain weight in my hips, legs, and under a lot of stress perhaps mid section).  In the end I got the look I wanted, and it was great- no regrets, but I would say that the perfect fit that zippers require do cause a bit of stress.  However, things can be done even the week before your wedding, so I would choose the one that goes with your dress and that you ultimately prefer the look of.
