You can find them both ways. There are some that almost have a strapless bra build in, others that are like a big tube that you’d wear like a tight strapless dress, and others that only go to right below your breasts. It’s a personal preference thing, but there are lots of varieties out there.

Hey I’m the one that posted on the backfat. Once they smooth you out you shouldn’t have a problem again. Think of it as lifting your boobs after you put a bra on. (in other words, you put your bra on and then you reach in and lift them up so the underwire is in the right spot). The backfat is the same idea, it shouldn’t move again.
I too have a Maggie Corset dress. I had cups added to the front and they also took in the chest area by 1.5 inches. I feel very secure in the dress. I”m a 33B. I’m also wearing spanx that go up to my ribcage.
I too have been workingout a lot and focusing on my arms, shoulders and chest exercises. I have seen major improvements. I went from a 36 to a 33 in the last few months. So hit the gym or get you a set of 5lb handweights and do some at home.

Thanks vintage2010 .. I’m going to drive back to the shop and see if this will work. I hope I can lose about 20 pounds in 3 months to make this possible.

I didnt need to wear a bra with my dress but I defintely felt more comfortable wearing one! My dress was put on pretty tight anyways but the bra felt better with it.

Ugh. I have no idea at all.
I don’t have much going on up top and my consultant stated maybe I should wear a strapless pushup to help, and that it would look just fine.
But we’ll see.
Let us know!

I am wearing a Maggie with a corset back but am still wearing a bra. At 38GG I dont really have a choice… I think it depends on your body and what you feel comfortable with.

I’m wearing a bra with mine! I had a strapless push-up on with my dress and it was perfect. Instead of my small boobs getting sucked in and lost under all that dress, I actually looked womanly. It was great.

as of right now im not wearing a bra with mine. my wedding is outdoors and in late june. im wearing a sottero and midgley dress. the issue i ran into is my chest is a size 10 while my waist is a size 8. i ordered a 10 and the dress fits but i kind of wished i had ordered the 8. they didn’t have to alter the top but the corset back is almost completely as tight as it will go!

I have a Sottero Midgley also and have been wondering the same thing, at the bridal shop I was wearing a strapless bra and the girl pulled the corset SUPER tight and it felt beautifully, but then when I got the dress home and tried to put it on myself it was really loose in the chest, I’m not sure if this is cuz of the fact that I can’t get it as tight or cuz I was nto wearing a bra…guess I need to get a friend to come and tie the corset really tight so I can try it both ways.

I just got my dress and I’m going to wear a spandex tube top with built in bra.

I have a corset style gown and I think I’m going to wear one of the strapless bra/fat sucker things… don’t know what it’s called.. like this:
That way I get triple sucking in action and my little intestines won’t be flattened by my super tight corset. (Don’t get me wrong.. I love the tightness… pulls in all that pudge! it’s a miracle!!!)
