I’ve always preferred corset back. I think they look beautiful with a hint of sexy. Just my opinion though!

I’m not a fan of corset backs. I always think a zipper looks more classy/elegant, especially if it has buttons over it.

I usually prefer zippers but I actually quite like your corset! I don’t the look of them going down into points at the bottom, but because yours stops at the skirt I do like it. It adds interest! You could also add a panel behind it if you wanted it to be more subtle but I think it’s quite cool. You can’t really go wrong either way though, if you do make it a zipper I would have it with buttons to add back some detail.

I like either but probably prefer the lowered zipper back.

The zipper looks better to me. Cleaner lines

I don’t like corset backs. Obviously, it is personal preference, but I prefer a zipper and I agree with the idea of adding faux buttons over it – really adds something.

Zipper. I hate corset backs though, to me they always look sloppy.

Not a fan of the corset back. Too lingerie-esque. I prefer the buttons, but the zipper looks a lot nicer and cleaner. Just my opinion though! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am personally leaning towards the corset back. But I will say a zipper would work just as well with your dress…so if that is what you desire than go for it ๐Ÿ™‚

Be sure to size up in the waist to account for the space you’ll lose by switching to a zippered back. I did the reverse (changed a zippered back to a corset back), and it essentially took the dress up two sizes in the waist.

I loved the look of a corset back on my own figure, but which looks better may depend on your own body type. Zippers just weren’t flattering for me, but I’ve had friends who looked gorgeous in zipper-backed dresses.

Also not typically a fan of corset backs on dresses, but I think the one on your dress is very delicate and pretty! I personally would choose the zipper back, but I think either works in your case.

I choose corset because it gave me more options if I was to gain or loose weight after have a dress made a year in advance. So for me it wasn’t perferance but just having an option if weight if the issue.
