The suggestion of adw2c (the inner corset) sounds great! Maybe this could be a solution to your problem?

If I were you I wouldn’t change the zipper into a corset back. You have a very beautiful, womanly dress. Its sexy enough. By adding a (visible) corset back, maybe your dress would be a little bit too much sexy.

But then again, thats my opinion, and I know there are of people who would disagree on this point of view.

Last advice: try to get rid of the stress! (Then you’d get rid of the weight coming on and off too). So try to relax (yes, i know its hard sometimes!), but your wedding should something to look forward to, not to fear.

Good luck!

I’m a corset back fan!  It wasn’t something I’d thought of in particular before I went to try on dresses, but once I tried one on, I was sold!  I think your dress would look fantastic with a corset back!  You should make sure that you are comfy and happy, so if it’s an alteration that would give you peace of mind, I’d go for it.

Mine came with a corset, and I’m really happy about it.  It’s just nice to know if I gain or lose a couple pounds before the wedding, everything will still cinch up beautifully.  I’ve heard most brides lose a couple pounds the week of, because they’re running around, and it would be awful for my dress to not stay up on the big day.  I think it’s worth the peace of mind.

i think if you were already going to have alterations to it,  it may as well be a corsett alteration.   just think too, with the sparkley top half of your dress,  you could have sparkley laces that hang down the back of your dress.

I think a  corset would look great!  I love them and I will probably have to have one.
