The dress really accentuates your curves as is, so I don’t think you need a corset.

I’m trying to decide if I should get a corset or not too… I think yours looks great as is but corsets just add a little something. I think they are lovely- so if you truly want one get it! It’ll look great!

I’d say it’s up to you.  It looks very nice on you as is, but I think it could also look nice corseted.  The most import thing is to make sure that your seamstress is up to par if you opt for such a major alteration.  Either way, it’s a lovely dress 🙂

I think it would be amazing with a corset!!  I tried on similar styles, both with and without a corset, and the corset ALWAYS gave me that extra curve.  I have a wider ribcage than fits the rest of my frame and a corset sucked me in and made me look hourglass.  I say go corset.  It’s your one day to feel like a million bucks!  Go for it!

Hmm… I definitely think a corset COULD be added, but I’m not sure I would recommend it.  The buttons go quite far down past your bum, so obviously you wouldn’t start the corset right at the bottom, so you’d still have to have half a zipper, and then start the corset?  I think the buttons just give such a nice long line that the corset might interrupt.

I love corsets too. (I have yet to see a dress “ruined” by a corset) My dress originally did not have one, but over the course of our 13 month engagement, I got pregnant and my only option was to get a corset 🙂  The tailor kept part of the zipper because otherwise the corset would have gone way too far down.  Not trying to thread-jack, but here’s how it looked with half corset/half zipper–the zipper actually goes all the way down to right above my butt. Also, because I had a belt, I tied the corset strings inside the dress…the strings on the outside are actually from the belt.
