my Bm’s spent $250 on dress plus $60 alterations- for who wanted bra inserts, etc.

I have 5 bridesmaids, Their gifts i got them were $200.0-250.00 each – I went all out on them because they had paid for their dresses, and are paying for their own h+m (their choice- i offered) but they refused

I bought the girls the dresses, but they were $150 (Canadian). I also got them all satin pajamas to wear while getting ready and coordinating hair accessories. I’m not getting them any extra non-wedding related gifts, but I think paying for their dresses, hair, and makeup kind of precludes the need for a gift.

I bought them their dresses for $30 a piece.  I found a great deal.  I got them all necklaces and a makeup bag with their initials embroidered on them.  I think I spent about $150 per girl.  I didn’t pay for their hair and makeup, but I didn’t require them to have it professionally done.

mine spent $120 on a dress. hair and makeup are optional, they can wear whatever shoes they want. they spent money hosting a couple’s shower for us, which was super generous, and will be taking me on a bachelorette in a few weeks. they’re awesome.

their gift is their hair for the day. they all opted into spending $85 for hair, but i’m suprising them and letting them know the night before that i’m covering the cost (plus tip). also giving them a card, a bottle of hairspray (to go with the hair ‘gift’) and a nip or two of their favorite booze!

I only have one (female) bridesmaid. I bought her dress for about $100, and am gifting her some jewelry worth about $60.

Dresses were from Shop Ruche.com for $50 per BM and each gift (kate spade clutch/kate spade gold bow bangle/anthropology blush stick/bridal sash I made myself) totalled $85 per Bridesmaid or Best Man

I purchased their dresses for $125 each, their gifts came to about $50 each, but both spent much more on travel. Also, I spent $150 pp on Cirque du Soleil tickets in lieu of a bachlorette. One took me up on it, the other declined

My bridesmaids all spent $150 on their dresses and about $30 on thier shoes.

I spent about the same on thier gifts. I got them a designer wallet and designer earrings which came out to be about as much as the dress.

I also, go them the typical robe, hangers, make-up/ hair etc. so when it all comes down to it, (even though the last ones are for me) I spent about $325 on each bridesmaid and I have 5.

Man- I really have no idea how I afforded all of that lol

I have 3 BM’s and 1 Maid/Matron of Honor.

My BM’s spent $230 on their dresses and I’m spending $1K on their gifts.

My sister is my Maid/Matron of Honor.  I bought her dress for $270 and am spending $2.5K on her gift.

I bought me Bridesmaid or Best Man her dress (long story, would have been happy to buy both), their hair and MU, accom the night before and a might get them a robe. I think lots of people just want their expenses paid and aren’t interested in more “stuff”. My friends and I don’t do gifts for birthdays or Xmas either, we take each other out for experiences

must curious….but what gifts are you giving your BMs? They are lucky ladies.

I actually bought all 5 of my BMs their dresses (customary in the UK) and will be paying for their hair. Iv also spent about £60 each on gifts; a pair of Kate spade earrings and a personalised Jo Malone fragrance.

gemabride:  If you don’t mind my asking, where did you find the Kate Spade clutches? Every time I look on their site they are so expensive!
