Ring was $1200 and we’re expecting the wedding to cost $20000 so 6%. I’m in BC, Canada! That doesn’t include the honeymoon

Ering plus my bands, came out to $11,278. Our wedding is held at our private residence and we have no plans to set a budget. We just want to make it about what we love but we plan to keep it at $10k for 50 guests. I prefer an amazing ring to wear each day, than a wedding that will end so quickly.

My e-ring was about $5k, and our wedding was less than that. We didn’t want a big fancy party, and DH wanted to get me a nice e-ring.

Ring was about $3500, and I think our wedding will be about the same–but we’re just having a small intimate ceremony for close family (12 guests). So roughly 100%.

For my first marriage – my engagement ring was $6,000 and my wedding was $30,000.

My engagement ring SO has purchased is $2,800 (we went for a moissanite stone) and we are planning on eloping which would cost the same amount or a little less.

We plan on spending about $5,000 on a honeymoon too if that’s included in the cost?

ilovesophia:  My ring is worth $15k, but the flawless hand-cut diamond came out of my grandma’s ring. If my fiancé actually had to buy the whole ring  it would have been much less expensive. Wedding is going to end up being around $12k. We live in the Bay Area.

My ring was right at $1,000. Originally, I was planning a larger ($20,000-$25,000) wedding, but that would mean a longer engagement and inviting a lot of people who I honestly don’t care about being at my wedding. We have since decided to have a much smaller destination wedding that is only going to cost between $3,000-$5,000 depending on the options we choose.

This is allowing us to get married sooner and have more “fun” money during our engagement since we won’t be saving so agressively. We have the funds to hold our smaller wedding sooner, but we are paying off some debt and hoping to purchase a house before the big day!
