We’re not planning on kids for another 2-3 years so zika wasnt a huge concern for us. We’re doing 4 nights-5 days all-inclusive in Playa del Carmen Mexico for $2200 with flights. We would have loved a longer honeymoon. Or to go somewhere like Europe, but we already have a 1 week vacation planned next week (we booked this before he proposed). So we’re doing a quick minimoon since I’m out of vacation time for the year. We’re hoping to do something bigger next year for our 1 year anniversary.

We went to Curacao from the Nordics, with a stop over in the UK on the way back. We spent about €6K for our hotel and our flights and we went a few months after our wedding, in March 2015.

We’re going all through Italy & Santorini with a few days in Helsinki for 4 weeks. Travelling from Australia flights and accommodation are costing us around $12k. Then plan to use our honeymoon wishing well money as most of our spending money.

We spent quite a bit (WELL over $8k) but we went to over 10 countries and it lasted almost a month, and we did everything “first-class” (penthouse suites, butlers, the works).

We are doing Orlando – 6 nights in Disney World and 3 in Universal.
I’m estimating about $5750 for: hotels at both parks, rental car, gas, parking our car at the airport for 10 days, food, drinks, tips, souveniers, park tickets to Universal, but doesn’t include our tickets to Disney as they are left over from our last trip (bought a 10 day pass, only used 5) since we paid for those so long ago, I didn’t count that in our budget. We also use air miles from family, so our flights only cost about $25 for the fees.
Also not included is the ~$900 bill to board our 2 dogs for 2 weeks for the wedding weekend and then honeymoon immediately afterward.

did you already book the trip? because if not Bahamas are not thaaat tropical. The weather yes, but it’s sooo touristy!
We did – but we’re okay with touristy! So long as we can lay on a beach where the water was not frozen solid within the last 6 months, drink frozen drinks with umbrellas in them, and go snorkel somewhere, I would consider that ‘tropical’! (Chicago born and raised.)

My parents have timeshares all over the world to amazing Marriotts. They gave us a week for free and its in the area we are getting married so we don’t have any cost. only cost we will have is food and any other activities we may do. I am bringing $1500 along as well as my fiance so I think we will be set with 3k, probably will only spend half.

We didn’t want to spend too much as we paid for our wedding completely on our own and we were also building our dream home and wanted to have a baby soon, but we still wanted to have some fun. We went to Mazatlan for one week all-inclusive (flights, hotel, meals, drinks, etc.) for around $1500 CDN for both of us (Westjet sale). Great deal and the weather was fabulous!

- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
We budgeted $2,500. We ended up stending about $3,000. The only reason we went over budget was our wedding gifts came to $3,000 and our plan was to use the wedding gift money for our Honeymoon anyways. We spent the extra $500 on shopping!

Our flights and cruise is costing $5000.
Activities, food, shopping etc etc for almost 2 weeks will cost a lot too.
We’re budgeting around 8K

We are doing 7 nights in Maui. For airfare, hotel, luau we are paying a bit under $6K. Probably spend around $3K while there. So about 9K in total.

- Wedding: July 2017 - The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek
My Fiance and I are planning to go on a “mini-moon” for a few days following our wedding and then honeymoon a few months later. Today we booked our mini-moon stay at a resort in the Pocono mountains, and the total is $1,200 for 3 nights and 4 days (includes whirlpool suite, access to the fitness center, and passes to their huuuuuge indoor/outdoor waterpark). We’re not planning to spend more than $800 on food, the arcade, the spa, etc., so it should be under $2,000 for what we’re doing immediately following the wedding.
Our registry is going to be a Honeyfund to help us finance a trip to England about 8 months after the wedding. We’re not sure what the total for that trip will be yet, but we’re thankful we’ll have help from friends and family and time to save up for our larger adventure. We’re hoping that the total of this trip (including whatever we get from our Honeyfund) will be no more than $5,000, so that would be $7,000 altogether.
