I’m also going with men’s wearhouse. We’re doing black and our price is about $10 less for the whole package. their prices seem standard regardless of region across the US. You could nix the shoes and pocket squares to ease the price a bit, but you’re still going to come in around $200. my bridesmaid dresses were closer to $300 (I know..I know, okay?) so we’re letting it ride. If anyone expresses financial concerns we are just going to offer to pay.

LRD :

Check out   http://www.theblacktux.com   Complete outfits are less than $200.

Are you having a black tie wedding? Or would a suit be more appropriate to the level of formality of your wedding?

LRD :  If your wedding is semi formal, perhaps you should rethink the need for a tuxedo. You can rent a grey suit for $95 and the men can wear their own shoes and shirt. You could gift them their ties.

If you choose to stay with a tuxedo, there are proper shoes they need to have.

My fiance is renting whole tuxedo package from Black and Lee for $200. But because he has over 4 groomsmen , his tuxedo rental is free.

His groomsmen will be renting a nice suit different color as him but they will match the bridesmaids.

He will be the only one in a fancy tuxedo matching my dress.

I suggest you compare prices everywhere.  That’s what we did.

And luckily found a place that offers one complete free tuxedo rental if over 4 renting.

Ours are like $150 from there. We left out pocket square and tie because we are getting cheaper ones from Amazon. Also if you have 5 people who rent they’ll take off like $30 or $40 from everyone’s rental.

LRD :  do you have a local independent shop? We went that route. The Men’s Warehouse tuxes were over $200 and they weren’t even very nice. We ended up with a local shop that had beautiful high quality rentals (much nicer than MW) for about $50-60 including shoes and all the odds and ends. My husband and our dads all ended up buying their tuxes from the same shop.

We are renting Ike behar tuxedos for the groom and groomsmen and Ike behar is top notch quality. The groom is in navy and the groomsman are charcoal. Ours are 190 each including shoes in Southern California. I think men’s wear house is overpriced for what it is.

If you go to http://www.mytuxedocatalog.com you can see the tuxedos and places that rent them around you. Once we saw and felt the Ike behars, men’s wear house and other places looked and felt of lesser quality. Here’s a pic of his tuxedo
