- Wedding: September 2010
Well my wedding budget is getting shot to hell, my fiance has been spending more than I’ve been budgeting for him, and it’s coming straight out of our budget. We still have $2,000 to go (doable when I take away his debit card) and I just realized that we still have not looked into suit costs (he works a lot and hasn’t gotten around to it.) We will likely be having to rent suits for him, his brother and two groomsman, plus I’m sure his dad will expect us to pay for his suit (his family hates me). His brother and dad work the same long hours he does, and his two groomsmen live in Seattle and Nevada and likely won’t make it here before about 2 days before the wedding. How on earth do I do this??? Does Men’s Wearhouse or any other nationwide stores offer payment plans or something? He makes a decent wage but we have bills and other expenses too and I’m panicking at the thought of not being able to afford everything in the next 2 months (yeah he procrastinated too, his one job was the tuxes but I have to do EVERYTHING.)
We are having a fairly casual wedding (I use that term lightly, but it’s not a church wedding), so frankly I’d be fine with just nice pants, shoes, white shirt and a vest, but would that even cut down on the costs at all? My Fiance wants a coat, but I KNOW it’s going to come off about half an hour before the ceremony, so why pay for it??
