My husband bought my engagement ring at Costco, and I adore it! It’s a .7 carat emerald cut diamond in a halo setting, in platinum. It’s incredibly sparkly, durable, and delicate looking and it came with an appraisal for about $1k more than it cost. I got it independently appraised and the jeweler also confirmed that it was a great deal, and a wonderful diamond. I would definitely recommend Costco if you’re looking for a quality ring. 🙂

I think it might depend on your Costco. The Costco I go to is in a higher pay area and I haven’t ever seen a cluster ring, only single diamond rings (usually 1 carat or so) or halos.

I haven’t read the PPs, but I would definitely suggest checking where the diamonds come from. Unless you don’t care about blood diamonds.

I have a diamond wedding band from Sam’s Club that I got a few years ago and have been happy with it. When I brought it to my local jeweler they were suprised that the ring was such good quality. I wouldn’t hesitiate to buy from SC or Costco.

I love everything Costco has to offer. All of their stuff is great quality, in my experience! I can’t say I’ve ever bought jewlery from them, though I have taken a peek here and there. But judging all my other experiences having to do with them, I’d say go for it!
that is also something I would have to look into…good suggestion!

That’s fantastic to know! Maybe I just need to visit a store in a different town. I’m liking what I hear on this thread about their offerings.

At least in Canada, the Costco website says that all their diamonds are sourced ethically and adhere to the Kimberley Process or what have you.

My fiance bought my ring at Costco and I love it! I have had it for 8 months and it still catches my eye because it is very sparkly. It is a .7 center with a halo and set in platinum. We could not beat the price in any jewerly store for the same quality. I have attached a picture but it is a cell phone picture and a little blurry. He bought a 1/2 eternity princess cut, channel set wedding band to go with it and they fit like they were made to go together. I would not hesitate to shop at Costco. Also they have an excellent return policy if you are unhappy for any reason. : )

A colleague of mine – his mom is a diamond buyer. She actually recommended that we buy from Costco because she said that they get all the really good quality diamonds because they get priority to pick. We didn’t go with Costco because I needed the education and customer service that a jeweler offers but I thought that information was very interesting. No matter where your ring comes from I’m sure it will be fabulous! Good luck!

@AGTbee Just helped my brother shop for a ring for his girlfriend!!! So exciting. Anyway we needed some diamond education first, because Costco doesn’t provide that, so we went to Two by London first, where they were SO nice, NO pressure, and incredibly educational! In fact, they were so great we felt guilty we couldn’t afford the ring there! but they made us SURE that the Costco diamond was a great deal and great quality! My brother saved thousands buying the diamond there, and his girlfriend got a much bigger stone in platinum because he got more for his money. The ring is SPECTACULAR, and came in two days! It’s GIA certified and so unusual (he chose one from Costco.com), and appraised for $6,500 more than he paid. The ONLY drawback was that the ring came in a size 7and now must be sized, and he’s trying to find places that will size it in front of him. Good luck and enjoy your diamond and the money your boyfriend saved!

My husband bought my engagement ring from Sam’s Club (similar to Costco). I LOVE this ring. It is bigger and better quality than ALL of my friend’s, and their came from well known jewelry stores. I get compliments on it every single day.
Here is the link to the page for it:
and here is my ring!

My fiance purchase my engagement ring from costco. It’s a .70 oval stone in a halo setting with a plantinum band. There are 3 hearts on each side of the setting as well. He paid $4k and my ring appraises for $6k. I absolutely love my ring. The ring is sooo sparkly and beautiful.
We had taken my ring to Robbins Brothers to have it sized because costco does not offer this service. Before they sized my ring, they took a look at the diamond under the microscope to let me know what kind of marks/inclusions I had on the diamond (they do this to assure you that they’re not replacing your diamond with another one). The first salesperson could not even see any marks on the diamond, so she went to get another sales rep. The 2nd girl said there were 3 small, barely noticeable under the microscope, slight marks on the bottom of my diamond. They both said it was one of most beautiful diamonds that they have seen.
Costco jewelry is great! I have had so many compliments and haven’t had to tell anyone where I actually got the ring. We just ordered my wedding band from costco’s website and I should be receiving it soon!! Another reason why I love my ring so much is because it doesn’t look like the typical rings out there that everybody has. My ring is so unique, it pretty much looks like he designed it himself. You get so much more for the price ladies!! It is so worth it. My wedding band is a .50 CWT platinum band. We purchased the ring for $1179 + tax from costco’s website. I went to look at the same band at Robbins brothers and they wanted to charge my $3200 + tax for a similar ring. I am so happy we saved the money and I got 2 absolutely stunning rings out of it 🙂
