For 50 people and given that it’s not a full meal I would probably budget ~$250? Depending on the kind of food- obviously something like sushi will bump it up but otherwise I think things like juice, muffins, croissants, cheese trays, fruit and veggies or whatever would fit comfortably in that budget.

amanda1988:  I don’t usually buy anything from costco other than the essentials, but they have these awesome “Aussie Bites” that are super good for you- little seeded/nutty granola muffin style things.. I would expect to spend at least $100-$200 (most muffin/cookie trays are around or just under $10 in my local costco). Their muffins are also really great (esp the lemon poppy seed) – so good that most of our local gas stations & coffee shops that sell muffins buy them from costco & retail them…

amanda1988:  It seems to me that whenever I go to Costco things cost ~$10 an item give or take. Cheaper for baked goods. So for a two pack of gallons of juice I believe it’s around $13… A six pack of big muffins you could cut up is like $4, the bagels come in two packs of six for like $6… a cheese tray off the shelf is like $11… Getting trays made are more expensive $25 or so, depending on what you want… It is always hard to judge how much to buy, but I would expect much less than what you’re figuring! 🙂

I would say about 350 max. I would buy trays of premade sandwiches and wraps (love the wraps) pastries. The muffins, brownie bites and maybe a few boxes of cookies (love them) etc.

they also have veggie platters and things like chicken, shrimp salad etc.

I also think things tend to be around 10$ give or take.  So I’d also be comfortable with the $250 and plan to have 4-5 different items total.  However, I always overbduget and it works out WONDERFULLY–and if it were me I would budget 10$ pp and put aside $500 with the goal to spend $250 and bank $250 into savings 😀

amanda1988:  Budgets and Costco do not work for us, which is why we only allow ourselves to shop there once a quarter, because it ends up being a $300-$400 trip.  Then again, we have a chest freezer, so buy a ton of meat in bulk, and our dog food, etc is from there too.  BUT, you did not ask for our shopping list, so I digress, lol.

I do not know how much to budget for 50 guests, but I do not think it will run you more than a couple hundred dollars either.  My tip is that MOST of their pastries can be cut in half for one serving.  Their muffins, etc are HUGE, so I would not anticipate everyone eating a full one.  My sisters did a brunch for my shower, and utilized Costco goodies, cut things in half, and still had a ton of leftovers!!  Also, I imagine your plan is to purchase that morning.  Costco is VERY family-friendly, and a lot do not open until 11 or 12 on Sundays (just a FYI…to look into!!)

Never been disappointed by Coscto, EVER!

We do breakfast from sam’s club (i’m guessing they have similar prices) every year for our car club…. there’s usually 200ish people. We usually spend $200. That said, our breakfast isn’t as fancy as what you’d probably want. A women in our club orders over the phone or email and then it’s ready for her to pickup.

We usually get muffins, brownie bites, fresh fruit, cereal bars, and some other pastries… plus juice and bottled water. (Pretty simple because we’re outside so we cant really have a fancy spread.)
