I use clothing tape (mine is called “fashion tape”) all the time and I love it!  It holds all day and doesn’t leave any marks or residue on your clothing.  I’ve tried double stick tape that wasn’t made for clothing before, and it didn’t work at all.  It fell off in like less than an hour and was generally just a mess.  So definitely get yourself some clothing tape.  Most lingerie stores will stock it, as well as many department stores.

Toupee tape is the best!  You can get it at any costuming store.

I’m currently using hollywood fashion tape to keep the girls in place in a somewhat revealing top! I promise that stuff stays in place. I also wore it to my senior prom because my dress did not allow for a bra. It did the job, even through all my nasty sweat. I will admit that by the end of the night it has slightly loosened but was still doing the job.

I bought mine at Windsor and Victoria’s Secret, but I also know you can go to their website and purchase different sizes/shapes. http://www.hollywoodfashiontape.com

Fashion tape is better than double stick tape. Fashion tape is flexible and strechy, so it moves with you.

Are you asking for a comparison between double stick tape like you’d get at an office supply store and clothing tape, made specifically for sticking clothes to skin or other pieces of clothing?  There’s no comparison.  Double stick tape will not stick very long to clothes, and it doesn’t stretch and bend in the way that clothing tape does.  I use the Hollywood Fashion Tape brand ALL THE TIME–it has saved my outfits for years now.  I highly recommend it!  It might start to lose a little bit of its stickiness midway through, but there won’t be any ‘oops’ moments.
