Need your opinion of a random idea I just had! So in trying to find a way of getting the amazing look of tall centerpieces without the hefty cost, I came across manzanita centerpieces which look amazing and are a doable DIY for us:

Then, was browsing saveoncrafts.com and came across these cotton stalks:

What do you think? Would that be totally bizarre as a centerpiece? I think dressed up with some tiny pink and white silk flowers, crystals, and in a nice vase, it could turn out really pretty…or really odd? Our reception venue is inside a history museum that has all sorts of Industrial Revolution stuff (cars, steam engines, farming vehicles), so it could all kinda work together.

I think this looks fun and unique! I’ve never seen it before at a wedding, and I think it’d be really cool to see centerpieces like this. And affordable is always good in my book. 🙂

That’s a great idea! I’ve seen cotton used in a wedding on one site before, it’s really pretty but unexpected

The only thing about cotton stocks that I will warn you about is that they are very very sharp. It is beautiful, but I would suggest buying one first and playing with it to see how you would set it without getting cut up.

I love the look – I would definitely do a trial and see what you think.
You could also incorporate other cotton decorating – I’ve seen some really neat things done with cotton (decorations, bouts, etc.)
