If you miss a pill, I think its normal to receive some spotty activiity.

Perhaps all this yucky feeling is your period finally comming?

How long have you been taking this particular BC pill?

Hmm. well sometimes they say our bodies get “used to” our pills, causing things to go wonky than what you are normally used to. They usually reccomend changing pills or methods.

I wan’t to say No you are not pregnant but I know there is always that chance. Is there any way you can go to a clinic or a general practicioner for a blood test or something more concrete.

When you forgot your one pill, did you take it as soon as you remembered you forgot or did you completely skip it?

I know if you googling your scenario you are probably getting 500 horror stories, but try and remain calm! lol

The part that makes me think you’re not pregnant is the unbearable cramps. It sounds like you’re having a rough period. The symptoms you’re describing sounds like every period I’ve ever had, however when I was pregnant the cramps I had (that I thought were period cramps) were light and just annoying and consistant. I’ve never taken the pill before though so I wouldn’t know how it feels to be pregnant on the pill. I hope you feel better whatever it is : /

Advantages of having a blood test done ( over urine):

  • Can detect a pregnancy earlier than a urine test at about 7-12 days from possible conception ( but if a negative result is received, a test should be repeated if a period is missed.)
  • Can measure the concentration of hCG hormone in your blood (this is useful information for your healthcare provider in tracking certain problems in pregnancy)

Is it possible for you to not continue your next pack of Yaz, just incase you should be pregnant  as not to hurt the potential of a baby in question with the hormones?

I’m almost postive that your regular DR can give you the blood test and a place like planned parenthood could also give you a referal to a place that can do blood tests. As far as the walk in clinic, I’m sure you could just go right on in and ask if they would.

Sorry you are stressed!!!! So you were expecting your period last Wednesday, and so at this point, it is almost a week late, right? If you already started a new pack, then your body might just skip the period all together, even if you aren’t pregnant, because the new pills tell your body to start avoiding ovulation again. At this point, if your last period was 11/9, then you are roughly on day 33 of your cycle… which SHOULD be enough time for it to show up on a pregnancy test. Of course, there are always cases where it doesn’t show up right away.

I would call the urgent care place and see if they will do a blood test. They may or may not.

Also, I am pretty sure that if you miss one pill, you don’t need to use a backup method, so the pill “should” still be effective. Of course, I’m sure there are cases where it’s not, but that’s normally the case. Did you miss any other pills or were you irregular in taking other days?
