So I started birthcontrol about 3 months ago and when I started, it caused my period to stop and start again on week 2. The next month it was on week 2 again. I know that your period is supposed to be on the placebo week, but mine wasnt, all I had was some light spotting. I’ve had sex since my last period, but I take my bc everyday at the same time and I’ve never missed; we also used a condom. Its now the 2nd week and no period. Could I be pregnant or is my period just moving to the placebo week like it should be?

my guess would be it’s just moving and adjusting to your new pill cycle. I really don’t think you’re pregnant especially if you also use condoms!

If you are taking it every day and are using condoms, you should be fine!

this is your first time on birth control, correct?
Did you wait a full pack before having sex? Or you were having sex the whole time?

Doctors typically advise you use an alternative form of birth control, i.e. condoms, during that first month. It sounds like she was safe.

I had something similar to this when I started birth control years ago. Then during placebo week my period didn’t come. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative, then my period came later that day. I had gotten so worried I was pregnant that my period didn’t come. You might want to take one just for ease of mind, but if you’re taking them as directed and using condoms you should be fine.

Ah, I missed the part where she stated a condom was used… Just re-read it. =)

Highly unlikely that you are preg but why not just take a test.

My guess is that you’re AF is moving to your placebo week. You should be a-ok!
