We have no idea what colors we want for our wedding. All we know is that we want black tuxes. We are having a spring wedding (April 2014), and we are having the ceremony/reception at an old plantation in Louisiana. It will be a night wedding, so we want to keep a classy color scheme, and nothing with pastels since it will be at night. We are using Audrey Hepburn as inspiration, kind of a classy vintage feel. I would love to incoroprate some sort of color that will pop to the theme, but I honestly have no idea where to begin. I was thinking about teal or some deep jeweled tone, but I don’t know. 🙁
Anyone with ideas? Advice?

I just googled “Old Hollywood Themed Wedding” and found these pictures:
So black, white and red could be nice.
But if you wanted the color to be turquoise you could maybe do black, gold or silver, and turquoise.

The red is fabulous! I like the idea of black, gold or silver, and turquoise. This will start giving me some ideas. Thanks!

@bwinston0192: everything I’m seeing this year says emerald is the new “it” colour – I think it would look stunning with black, gold or silver! Just another idea for you to toy with 🙂

@bwinston0192: it’s got to be black and aqua, but teamed with gold, or I saw one bee have red, aqua and gold

I’ve been thinking more about the dark teal…my fiance was to wear black tuxes, so I’ve been trying to find colors that wouldn’t clash with that. I was considering a teal with a mustard yellow, or with a dusty mint? I look at color palettes and it all just goes way over my head! 🙁 Thank you all for helping me! I’m getting some fabulous ideas!
