hm2012 : I love the top and side view of this ring but would change the crown setting. I’m toying with getting this done as my engagement ring and band with one of the Chinese sellers. Star Gems or Provence. Which of the Chinese selers will you recommend please?

0.57 carat. I love petite rings. And for us we’re a fairly young couple, and this was within our means when we decided to get engaged. It will always be really special because it represents that exciting time in our lives. I’d choose a .25 diamond from family, which represents you guys now, over a big, flashy, expensive stone any day.

Strawberries1 : I honestly think either company could make this for you. I have only ordered through StarsGem so far but many are getting beautiful rings from Provence for good prices. I’d put in price quote with both companies and decide from there. We’re you thinking lab diamonds or moissanite?

hm2012 : I’m thinking of getting an oval from AV.
I shall approach SG and Provemce for quotes and also see what AV come up with cos I’ve been waiting weeks for a car and quote. He said he just got a CAD upgrade and still getting setup.

Strawberries1 : Oh right. Think we have talked about this before! Waiting for anything is so hard. Well then in the meanwhile Just make sure to be as specific with details to the Chinese vendors when asking for prices. That way you’re comparing apples too apples

hm2012 : shall do. How do you suggest I arrange mounting? Ask AV to ship to China or see ring first then I ship to China or I get both shipped to me?

Strawberries1 : I would not ship anything to China. The delivery of any valueable items is a huge risk once it leaves US borders. I would get the stone first and specify the measurements to the company making the setting and have it mounted by a local jeweler.

My little .30 that I wear with my dad’s wedding band. I’ve been contemplating an upgrade, but I still love my little ring and don’t want to replace it. Now I’m thinking of adding an anniversary band with it instead.
