As the bride, you can wear whatever you want!

Personally, it doesn’t say “bride” to me, and I wouldn’t opt to wear it. I think it looks like something I’d put on to go run a few errands on the weekend… :-/

It would be a great dress to wear to your bridal showers!

I think maybe I would reserve this for a second dress for the reception? It kind of depends on your personality though. I wouldn’t feel much like a bride getting married in this dress, maybe something a little nicer. But having it for the reception would be fun. or the rehearsal dinner

try dressing it up and then see how you feel about it. I’m having an outdoor barn wedding on a ranch an just want to be comfortable, so if this is it for you then I think you should wear it. But you may not want to give up dress shopping with your mom and girls so I think making this a shower or maybe your getting ready dress is a great idea. Also what do you have in mind for the Bridesmaid or Best Man and MOB dresses?

I think yes you do but only if you add a sash to make it sparkle between the rest since you’re the bride and the dress is pretty but simple (:

I’m not a fan. I get you want a casual vibe but I think there are better options out there.

I love this dress and think it is perfect! Just make sure that you feel comfortable in it and are happy with something more casual (personally I think it is prettier than a lot of wedding gowns out there!) Good luck!

I love the dress, I think its sweet, romantic and simple like you are looking for. Dress it up with nice jewelry and shoes and a sweet bolero and i think it would be perfect. you should be the only one wearing a solid ivory/white dress so I think you would still look like the bride as long as you keep all your colors in ivory/white or silver including shoes and jewelry.

It’s your day and you should be comofrtable. I think the design on the bottom of the dress is what dresses it up. You just need some more coverage on the top or sparkly possibly to dress it up. Along with nice shoes and I think you are good to go!!

Good luck and try not to take peoples comments to close to heart. Go with what you feel in your heart is right!

OMG! Wear it! I love, love, love it! Wear it with some brown cowboy boots and a turquoise necklace and a flower in your hair. LOVE IT!

PS – Just read some of the other comments. Don’t listen to anyone who says you “need” to sparkle on your wedding day. I hate sparkle….and especially for a casual outdoor barn wedding! Do what you want. But really, I’m not kidding. I love that dress πŸ™‚

I say go for it. If you want, add some pearls or whatnots to the hem to “bridal” it up. Maybe change out the string tie for something slightly more “bridal” on the waist if you feel you need something more on it. But I think it’s great…wear cowboy boots and a fun flower in your hair. Maybe chunky coral or turquoise jewelry too if you don’t want to add pearl type accents.

I eloped, but wore a $60 strapless white cotton dress from Macy’s. It was not “bridal” in anyone’s mind I’m sure, but by adding a few touches, it worked out perfectly. And I wore cowboy boots. πŸ™‚

You can wear whatever you want hon!

For me, that’s an ADORABLE dress, but it doesn’t scream wedding to me. You don’t need sparkle, poof, or whatever else. You can get something REALLY simple! But I would hate to see that down the road you regret not wearing an actual wedding dress. Something that you can’t wear everyday and that you will get to remember as the gown that you married your best friend in.

There are plenty of simple dresses out there in the wedding industry. My vote is to keep looking. BUT, again, it’s your wedding, not mine. πŸ™‚

I think it would be very sweet for one of your showers or your rehearsal dinner. πŸ™‚ I really do like the dress, but it doesn’t really seem too “bridal” to me.  However, if this is the simple, sweet look you’re going for…then rock it girl!  As the bride, you can wear whatever you love. πŸ™‚
