I am looking for the perfect shoes (I love shoes) and found a pair at a GREAT deal. My concern is that the heel is a bit too high (4″) for the day. I am having a beach wedding and going barefoot.. and then will wear heels later. Is it possible to go from barefoot to 4″ and have it look okay dress-wise.. or is that pushing it?
Also. The shoes are ivory. My dress is diamond white, which I guess is in-between the two. Does it matter that it’s not an exact match? Will it look okay, or contrast too much? I’ve heard different things.
So here is my dress:
and here are the shoes:
What do you think??

I think they could work, though the buckle is a bit chunky for your super feminine dress.

@Aure: That’s true! I need to consider that…

I think they’re gorgeous!!! They’ll be amazing with your dress!

I don’t think anyone will notice the fine details of your shoes except people up close to you or in pictures, I think they will look great (regardless of the color difference) and if they are comfy and you like them, all the better.

This is so true!
No one but you will probably ever notice the small details, like a buckle on your shoe. So pick whatever you love.
As for the dress vs shoes, I think you will be ok. Maybe you should get your dress hemmed to suit your heels because when you’re walking on the beach no one will be looking at your feet!! (So no one will see if your dress is a tad too long)
Having said that, remember that you have to stay standing and walking and dancing in these shoes all night, so if you’re thinking about taking a pair of flats along to slip into later, take that into account too.
