Yep, but I have a good bit of money in savings & CDS AND looking at those numbers, makes me want to go cheaper for my ring if I had to.LOL I’d rather keep that money for a must need or just in case.

I’m not waiting but no way jose, my ring was 18k.. I’m very fortunate to have a hard working fiance who spoils me a little. I do, however, have the 2k for Kingy’s wedding band.

In my defense, I’m 23 and after graduating college I moved to Australia to be with Kingy so haven’t actually started my career.

Yes, and I bought him a 58 inch 3D TV as an engagement present. I am an avid saver.

Yep. I got about $3500 saved in a special account. But unfortunetly J wouldn’t let me propose to him… He’s very traditional and wants to do it all by himself, with no help (be it monitary, or what). He’s very stubborn.

technically, i could buy it outright but that would be a dumb financial move. the reason why i have the amount he needs for the ring is because we sold my car a few years ago when i got a new one and i dumped the entire sum into a savings account so it’s been sitting there for 2.5 years. i also have a decent tax return coming (while he owes). i wouldn’t say i am a better saver but when it comes to spending money wisely i am definitely better in that department. i mean, if he is going to go out and buy a gift for someone, he will just buy it at whatever cost he finds it. usually i can then go and find the same thing for half off or so somewhere else. i actually am helping my bf pay for the ring, so right now i am waiting for him to match half of what i have. then we are good to go 🙂
