i worked with my ex bf for 7 or 8 years.  we had a great, respectful working relationship.  in fact most of the employees didn’t even know we were dating the whole time.  we kept it very professional in the office.

I think we could.  In fact, our plan after retirement is to start our own engineering consulting business and run it together.  I think it will be fun!  We’ll see.  ๐Ÿ˜‰  Have quite a few years to go ’til retirement rolls around.

We have worked together multiple times in an office-like setting as well as a fast-food restaraunt haha we are very professional about it of course, and our bosses loved us! We don’t get sick of each other…it’s weird, at some points in our life we were together 24/7 pretty much and we just love it!

We did after we were engaged. He was full time though, and I was part time.

@inky_1:  Both of us got our first jobs at McDonald’s when we were 16, so glamorous.  Kiss We went to school together but he was a grade below me so we never saw each other until after we starting hanging out at work.  He started going out of his way to walk me to class, and I thought he was adorable so I kissed him! That was pretty much that!

Darling Husband and I worked together for 4 years…different areas of a small, 15 or so employee store. He worked in the garage/shipping, I handled customer service for online orders, and often we overlapped. And on days that we didn’t overlap, I’d go up and see him for a few minutes, or he’d stop by my desk to chat. We’d go into work together, have lunch together, leave and go home together. Honestly that’s how I knew I could marry him, we spent basically all of our waking hours together for years and still wanted to spend time together.

ETA: We didn’t keep our relationship a secret, either…in a workplace that small and gossipy, it would have been pretty much impossible. As long as our fights didn’t affect our work our boss couldn’t have cared less.

We both work in the same department but we’re at our desks most of the day. We still carpool and go to lunch together, etc. Works fine for us!

I think we could, but I wouldn’t want to!  I feel like we’d talk about work all the time and we wouldn’t have a chance to miss each other!

HAHA, we actually had this problem when the same company was looking to hire both of is– we decided it would negatively effect or relationship so he looked for work elsewhere, which both personally & professionally ended up being the best decision we ever made!

I’m pretty sure we could work together but I prefer that we don’t. I love hearing things about his job and day to day things that happen & I love telling him about mine! ๐Ÿ™‚

I used to work at the same company with my DH; his office was about 20 feet away from mine. We both loved it!  I would love to work with him again, in the future.
