whilst i am providing food for my photographer (it was in his contract) i am not counting him as a guest. He will not be eating the same as we will be but only a sandwhich , crisps and a drink.

I would speak to your photographer at least to see if they require food, seeing as they will be with you the majority of the day. I m not even offering food to the DJ.

Feed them, yes.  Feed them guest food, no way!  Serve them cheap and cheerful food – “outmess”.  That’s all that’s required.

yes you feed them, but not the same as you feed the guests, and they usually eat somewhere else in the venue, like in the kitchen, so you don’t need to count them in your seating plan!

My vendors were welcome to help themselves to the buffet the guests ate from. I inquired about potential vendor meals at a reduced rate and my coordinator in so many words said “we don’t over reduced meals but we don’t count how many people are eating too closely”.  So I added one extra head and told our two photogs and dj to go ahead and eat. Obvs wouldn’t work with a plated meal but that’s how it worked for us.

You need to feed DJ, photogs and wedding planner if you have one. We fed them all regular meals because the “vendor meal” was a kids meal. I was not going to do that to them. They had a plated meal the same as the rest of my guests.
