So we are having our wedding in 2 months and we sill don’t have our playlist finished. I think we have about 12 songs! Our wedding will be in October and very rustic. With mason jars and hay and wagons and even horse shoe. We’ve been trying to find good country or bluegrass music. We don’t want talk of sex, alcohol or anything like that. Old gospel music would be great! If anyone has any ideas please let me know… even for the ceremony! Thanks!

Alison Krauss, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Lady Antebellum, for example. The “O Brother Where Art Thou” soundtrack has bluegrass songs by modern country singers. On one of the Jim Brickman cds, Lady Antebellum does a beautiful song called “Never Alone” which is along the lines of an Irish blessing and is perfect for that type of thing.

OMG….sounds like an awesome wedding!! Carrie Underwood has some great upbeat country songs (and she is also a Christian). I would also suggest Sugarland, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Loretta Lynn, Trace Adkins, Johnny Cash, Brooks & Dunn, Jason Aldeen, Luke Bryan, and Kelly Pickler.

I just found on itunes an album called Hitched….from the Pickin’ On Series. It’s all instrumental versions of several typical country love songs. There’s also a beautiful version of the classic wedding march. I’m using the recessional in my wedding.

Don’t know if you have a cake stand already but I found the cutest rustic wood tree slice stand at http;//roxyheartvintage.com and they shipped it quick. It was such a hit at my wedding and now I have it forever:)
