The moderator on the Maryland board of TK put together a big list of Maryland barn venues as a sticky. You may want to check it out.

I only know MD, so this is limited. Off the top of my head there is Circle D Farm and the Howard County Conservancy for a farm atmosphere. For vineyards, Liganore, Boordy, and Elk Run come to mind, but I don’t remember any of them having a true barn.

You may have better luck looking in NoVa horse country. And Mrs. Mink seems to know a lot about VA wineries. It may not hurt to ask her. 🙂

You may also want to check out the Virginia Wine website (http://www.virginiawine.org/) where you can search wineries by area and contact them for rates.

We wanted the same thing!  Check out Thorpewood in Thurmont MD.  It is gorgeous but it ended up being too small for us.  We ended up going with The Other Barn in Columbia MD.  It worked out great for us and it was a really good deal!  The website doesn’t do it much justice.

I don’t know if you’ve found something yet or not… but Clay Hill Gardens is a stunning, rustic location and includes a TON of stuff for the cost.
