@ivoryowl:  My husband and I mentor and help girls ware have been victims of human trafficking.  It is our passion.  There is a lot of need for this type on thing if you can connect with the people involved.

@MrsFuzzyFace:  Awesome!  Have you heard of Hookers for Jesus?  It’s a real program in Vegas for women trying to leave the sex trade and there was a tv show about it.

Though I do volunteering on my own, Darling Husband isn’t as active, so i have no direct experience for couples who volunteer together. However, my sister, her husband, and both their kids volunteer once a month and on some holidays at soup kitchens or food banks. She said it helps to keep everyone grounded.

@ivoryowl:  My fiance doesn’t volunteer with me (mostly because our work schedules are just different enough that we couldn’t do it at the same time), but I’ve been volunteering for my local hospice for a little over 1.5 years now.  I just visit with patients once a week and give them some companionship.  It’s really rewarding and the patients I’ve visited have all really appreciated having someone come by to talk with them, read to them, etc.
