@dani ddha: We had one on our honeymoon and it was my first couples massage. I think I felt more relaxed because Darling Husband was there and we were enjoying the moment together. We didn’t talk to each other or anything, but afterwards they gave us this jacuzzi room with a fancy bubble bath and stuff. It was pretty but sort of awkward for us, LOL! We were both like “What are they expecting us to do in here?!” because it was set up so romantically but it was just…. awkward…. I don’t know how else to explain it! Anywho, overall, awesome experience and I really enjoyed it 🙂 That could also be because we were out on a pier over the water in Belize and it was STUNNING.

@bakerella: LOL I know the feeling you’re describing.

I’ve had a couples massage with my Fiance, I do kinda feel like — well, I’m the type to giggle if I’m nervous, so every time he made a noise I thought I was going to bust out laughing. So that probably didn’t help.

We had a couples massage on our honeymoon as well – and I didn’t find it more or less comfortable. We didn’t talk – which allowed us to still zone out and enjoy the massage.

But, I do think I kind of prefer to be alone when having a massage – and enjoy my “me time.”

We had a couples massage on the honeymoon too and – like AnnieAAA – I didn’t find it more or less comfortable.  We didn’t talk and we both relaxed.

The only one we’ve had was on our honeymoon and we both loved it.  We would love to get one again, but can’t seem to find the time, or the money for that matter. lol

I wanted to do a couple’s massage for our anniversary, but when I mentioned it to Fiance, he was totally against it. He said there was just no way he would ever be able to relax and enjoy it and he knew he’d ruin it for me. Just wanted to give you a different perspective because not all guys are open to them.

@dani ddha: Yeah, maybe bring it up in casual conversation…”Babe, I was thinking of going and getting a massage soon, would you like to get one and we could make it a couple’s massage?” or something like that. I’d definitely feel him out on it before you booked, otherwise it might be a waste of money 🙁

We just had one and it was really nice. It was kind of funny though because Darling Husband had never had a massage before and he asked me right before we went in, “They don’t rub your inner thighs do they?” After informing him that a full body massage probably did include your thighs he said, “Uh oh, I hope I don’t get a boner, that would be embarassing!”

Sure enough come massage time they did start massaging our thighs. I couldnt really see Darling Husband, but he was right beside me and the two girls were doing the same massage on each of us. As soon as she started massaging my thighs I couldn’t help but giggle. It was a little distracting thinking about whether or not my man was going to pitch a tent under that sheet. He didn’t, but it was still too funny. Silly guy!

@dani ddha: We do this all the time. We don’t talk or anything during the massge. Maybe a “how you doing honey?” but that’s about it.  Darling Husband is a big guy and at first I wasn’t sure what he would think either. I made the appt for his birthday as well the first year we were together. He enjoyed every minute. He said the first time he felt awkward but then after it was great. We love them!
