We’ve gone back and forth with our honeymoon plans and finally decided on Couples Tower Isle in Jamaica for mid-September.
We rarely travel and have never been out of the US. I was just messing around with the booking area through Couples’ resort and found this:
Monday, 9/19 through Monday 9/26 – $3,637
Tuesday, 9/20 through Tuesday, 9/27 – $2,585
Over $1,000 difference if we travel on Tuesday instead of Monday. I feel like there’s a catch. Fiance is hesitant to take an additional day of vacation from work – I’m thinking, “Screw it…it’s $1,000 savings.” Is there a catch? Is it just the inconvenience of traveling on a Tuesday that makes it less expensive?
Any anyone who has vacationed at Couples Tower Isle, I would love to hear your experiences.

I don’t know about that resort in particular, but I do know that flights are usually less expensive on Tuesdays and Wednesday because it is the least busy time of the week. Could be true with resorts also. Are your plane tickets included in that price?

There is absolutely no catch. In fact, I only look to travel on Tuesday for my honeymoon. Airfare and hotel bookings are very fickle. Traffic is the slowest on Tuesday compared to the rest of the week. It is natural for the costs to be a few dollars, to a few hundred dollars. If you’ve found CTI for around $2k I’d take it, as long as you are buying through their site or another reputable retailer (i.e. cheaptickets.com)
By The Way I am wanting to do CTI for my honeymoon as well… fingers crossed!

no catch. flights alone down there are crazy expensive on their own so those probably affect the prices the most. We went to jamaica for our honeymoon and loved it!!! Definately check out appleton rum factory and dunns river falls. we did a river rafting/zip lining tour also and it wasnt quite worth the money. when going on excursions ask them to stop for local fruits and shimp! the shrimp is out of this world!, just be sure its boiled fresh and hasnt been sitting out.
