My husband and I have been together for 6 years and got married before his deployment to Iraq in 2009 (unfortunately he is still there at the moment). The court house wedding was very small, just the two of us and the officiant. Currently our “real” wedding date has been set for May 29.2011 to share our vows with the people we love and even though im already married it still feels like my first wedding…if that makes sense. The wording with the invitations has given me a lot of difficulty so if anyone has any suggestions it would be very much appreciated!!

Maybe something along the lines of “Invite you to a celebration of love between….”?

Do other people know that you’re married? If not, then you could treat it as you’re getting married for the first time. If people already know that you’re married, then I agree with the previous poster in that you could say something like “Invite you to a celebration of love….”

I second miss moo on using the word celebration. Maybe even wedding celebration would work.
